If the application shows an Error 202 prompt, follow these steps
- Reload/ Refresh the page:
If the error is persistent, reload or refresh the page using the following:
- For Windows users: On your keyboard, press F5. You can even click the Refresh button next to the browser search bar.
- For Mac users: Press CMD + R or click the Refresh button next to the browser search bar.
- Log in again:
If the error doesn’t go even after refreshing, use a bookmark, log out, and log in again using login.xero.com. This will cross-check if you are using the current version; otherwise, it will update the same.
- Clear your cookies and cache:
Lastly, clear off the stored cookies and cache, ensuring that the unwanted data is not stored in your browser.
If Xero is experiencing any issue disrupting the service, then go to the status page and check if it is a system-wide issue. This page will be updated if the problem is identified and resolved; however, if nothing is there no current issue list, then try these steps:
- Clear the cache and cookies:
The first alternative to clearing Error 500 is to clear cookies and cache. Doing that will ensure that the unwanted old data doesn’t occupy your browser. Clear the cache and cookies data regularly to run Xerp smoothly.
- Log in to Xero again:
Refresh the session if you get logged out of Xero using a bookmark in the browser. Log out of Xero, and log in using login.xero.com.
- Try another browser or device, or see if others are experiencing issues:
- Ask someone else if they see the same error prompt
- Login using a supported browser
- Try logging in on a different PC or device.
